Lionel Messi has made an excellent start on the pitch for Inter Miami and he is proving popular with his team-mates off the field too.

Following his arrival Messi gave each of his team-mates a pair of pink Beats by Dre headphones to represent the colour of the club’s kit.

When asked about the headphones, former Newcastle defender DeAndre Yedlin said: ‘You have to ask Messi. Messi got them for the team. I don’t know if he bought them, but he gave everyone headphones for his first game.’

After his move to Inter Miami was officially confirmed on July 15, Messi made his debut for Inter Miami against Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup.

It proved to be a memorable occasion as Messi scored a dramatic late winner in stoppage time with a free-kick as his side won 2-1.
