West Ham United star Declan Rice is used to being tested by opponents but wasn’t quite prepared for the grilling he got from Manchester United legend Gary Neville.
The midfielder was being interviewed as part of Neville’s Overlap series and was asked 41 questions about the beautiful game.

Rice was grilled by Neville for Sky Sports
Away from the usual queries like best atmosphere and stadium you would love to play at, Rice was asked about some legends of the game.
It’s never fun being put on the spot for such huge questions but Rice, much like he is on the pitch, was unwavering and tackled them promptly.
Given he’s one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, the first inquiry was an obvious one.
Roy Keane or Patrick Vieira?
Rice responded: “Wow, big question. Keane! I just feel like I have watched him more as a player, I know he was a player I used to watch when he was coming towards the end of his career, and I was a kid, especially in terms of watching clips.
“The way he plays and obviously the fact he was a captain, and you hear stories.”
Rice was then told to choose between Barcelona legend Ronaldinho or World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane – a battle of the attacking midfielders.

He mulled it over but was able to make his choice.
“That is such a tough question as I loved Ronaldinho as a kid,” he replied. “Zidane is special, but I am going to have to say Ronaldinho.”
Rice has been linked with a move to Manchester United but Neville insisted the club’s fans might not like him anymore.
The third question saw another two Premier League legends pitted against each other.

“I have to say Stevie G. Gerrard,” Rice replied swiftly.

Rice answered: “You know what, it is such a hard question because obviously what him and Cristiano Ronaldo have done is a freak of nature, nobody will ever do that ever again.
“Messi, I just feel what he does with a football, he is just special, and I don’t think we will ever see a player like that ever again.”
