The injury that forced Lionel Messi off at halftime of Paris Saint Germain’s win over Lille has also kept him out of their Champions League group game with German side RB Leipzig. The Parisians released their squad list for the fourth group game of the competition and Messi’s name was not on the traveling list.
According to a statement issued by his club, the veteran forward felt slight discomfort in his left hamstring and complained of pain in his knee.
It appears that Messi’s bad luck at his new club is showing no signs of running out at present. The Argentine forward has already been unable to find the back of the net in Ligue 1. No wonder, the ex Barcelona man is already looking forward to one day returning to Camp Nou.
