Barcelona will hope to end a miserable league campaign with a win away to Alaves on the final day of the La Liga season on Sunday.
Real Madrid clinched the title on Thursday night – with a win against Villarreal bringing the title race to an end with one round to spare.
To add insult to injury, Barcelona suffered a home defeat to Osasuna as their arch-rivals were being crowned champions.
Their season is not over yet with Napoli awaiting when the Champions League resumes in August – but plenty of improvement is needed.

Alaves vs Barcelona will be held at the Mendizorrotza Stadium on Sunday, July 19, 2020, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm BST.
Prediction: Alaves 1-1 Barcelona
Barca were worryingly uninspiring against Osasuna midweek and their is a sour mood about the club, encapsulated by Lionel Messi’s fierce post-match interview on Thursday.
There is still a Champions League campaign to focus on, but on this week’s basis, there will be no bright end to the domestic campaign this weekend.
Team news
Antonie Griezmann missed Thursday’s game due to a thigh injury and it seems unlikely the club will risk him in Sunday’s dead rubber contest.
Gerard Pique will also sit out, suspended after being booked against Osasuna. Ivan Rakitic and Junior Firpo will also serve a one-match suspension.
